Sussex Coast College Hastings has been welcoming students from all parts of the world for over thirty years. The college benefits from the resources and facilities of a larger Further Education college, but maintains the personal attention of a small language school. Quality is preserved both through rigorous internal procedures and through external inspection. In 2000, the college was awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Further and Higher Education for its international work. The college was also one of the first to be awarded the Association of Colleges’ Charter for Excellence in International Training and Education.
Students can choose from a wide variety of English language, academic and vocational courses, University Foundation and Pre-Masters Programmes and an International Summer School. The programmes range in duration from one week to two years and range in level from foundation to postgraduate. Many courses lead to internationally recognised qualifications which enable students to progress to a chosen career or to undergraduate and postgraduate study. Former students have gone on to take Bachelor and Masters degrees at universities in the UK and the United States.
