Delta – University of Cambridge Course

DIPLOMA IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING TO ADULTS

January to December or September to June

Part-time.
Fee (2016): £1800 (+exam fees) 
One afternoon per week (Tuesdays) + additional Saturdays.

• Module 1: Background to Teaching and Learning
• Module 2: Developing Professional Practice
• Module 3: Specialist Option

The Modules will be run in parallel.

The Delta is for experienced teachers in the field of ELT who wish to upgrade their qualifications, further their career, and develop their teaching skills within the classroom. The course will extend their knowledge and understanding of the principles behind teaching practice as well as increase the range of techniques and methods. A CELTA qualification and a degree are usually required before starting this course.

The trainees are observed teaching in their own group classes. There will be a written examination and a number of assignments throughout the course.
