These courses are designed for overseas teachers of English or those about to enter the profession. Most English lessons in the world are given by people whose first language is not English. We refer to these teachers as Overseas Teachers of English.
You can choose to study for 1-4 weeks, and each week can be taken as an independent unit, starting any Monday. To join the courses you will need an Upper-Iintermediate level of English or higher.
Courses include Creative Methodology and Professional Development.
Each week, your full-time, 20-hour course comprises 15 hours of class tuition and 5 hours of varied activities, including observation of OHC classes. The timetable is 09.00-13.30, Monday-Friday. You can also attend OHC Club evening seminars.
A 25-hour course is also availlable. Additional activities include language skills pracice, lesson observations and presentations.
Our Overseas Teachers of English courses qualify for Comenius-Grundtvig grants under the EU's Life Long Learnng Programme.
