Other Information

Lessons take place every morning Monday to Friday, from 9.30am until 1pm, with a coffee-break at 11am, and then on 3 afternoons a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 2.00-4.00pm. 

You can start on any Monday. There will be a maximum of 6 students in your class. All have a similar English level and are of different nationalities. 

We can help you prepare for different examinations as part of this course, eg IELTS, First Certificate, Advanced, Proficiency. 

Mornings

We use different course books throughout the year from Elementary to Advanced level. There are many opportunities for you to practise your Speaking and Listening as well as your Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Reading, Grammar and Writing.

On Mondays you have an Integrated Skills lesson, for example, Plan a Day Out, or you study a special topic such as, Everyday Expressions or Phrasal Verbs. There is also an opportunity to review the previous week's work or do a Progress Test.                                                                             

Afternoons

Students work on Language Skills, focussing on:

• Speaking and Listening on Tuesdays
• Reading on Wednesdays
• Writing on Thursdays.

Students listen to recordings or audio-visual materials, work on exercises, read texts and discuss topics in pairs, groups and as a whole class.
